electrical problems

the other day my low and high beams worked fine...but today, i was going to adjust my hellas(which can only turn on WITH the high beams) and the high beams dont work at all. the lights just turn off when i switch to high beams.

also...my map lights havent worked for the past 4 years...so i was messing with them, and i got the drivers side map light to start working just by taking it out and putting it back in...but the passenger side light wont work.

any ideas??

It sounds like your headlight dimmer switch went out. Do the brights come on when you pull up on the dimmer (flash-to-pass)? If so, the dimmer is bad. If not, check your headlight bulbs.

AQ, both my map lights did the same thing. I replaced them both and they have worked ever since. They are too cheap to worry about fixing.
