emergency brake prob

ok so i have a 01 mounty and when i push the gas peddal the emergency brake light comes on and wen i let off of the pedal it goes off anybody got any clue why this just started happin all of a sudden

brake fluid is low. check it. at least thats what mine does.

added some and it fixed it thanks

I would check your brakes while you are there. The master cylinder level will drop as the brake pads wear.
