I want to know if anyone else is having the problem of when you put on the gas, litly or heavy the red emergency brake light on the dash comes on, but when I let off the gas after i'm going the light goes off. It does this every time I start but not by stopping.

Do I need to tighten the E-brake cable or is the senor bad?

Thanks,
Davo

there is a little plastic switch at the top of the foot pedal for the E brake, check it out. They break alot.

Also if it's dirty, clean it up and re-install.

If its broken at the mount then replace it.
this switch is what turns the light on/off

The light also comes on if you have a problem with the ABS or if the brake fluid is tooooooo low
I believe......

CHECK YOUR BRAKE FLUID. also check the wires going into the bottom of the fluid container, this is the level sensor....

my $$$$$ is on the switch, top of the foot pedal for the e brake.

Have you checked the brake fluid level in the reservoir? Make sure it's not low.

Haha...two threads asking the exact same thing. Davo, check your brake fluid. You might be low.

My money is on low brake fluid..when you give the car some gas the fluid moves to the rear of the reservoir and causes the sensor to turn on the brake warning light...

Alright, thanks guys. I'll go look at the switch and the level of the fluid and get back to ya.

thanks a ton, Davo

well I was low on fluid. I got my dads friend to fill me up. problem solved!
