Engine Bay size???

Hi all. Does anyone know what the width is between the framerails of a 91 aero??? I am looking to put a "bigger" than my 3.0l engine in and need good measurements to see what will fit. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering because I have a 400M with trans from a 78 Merc. Marq. that i want to use or save moneys for a new coyote 5.0. Hahahaha.

Some people put a 5.0L in their Aerostar, so I know that it's possible but it's very tight.

Skip the 400, that's almost as big as any bigblock, in size and weight.

If a 302 can fit, then that's the answer. You can build a 302 based engine to make any HP level you want to spend the money for.
