I had the codes scanned- cylinder misfiring. Recently had new plugs, wires, and fuel system cleaned. I took it to the shop and they could not figure out the problem, ended up suggesting Techron to see if that helps. It did at first and intermittently, but the engine missing and grumbling makes be a bit nervous. Check engine light went off after they reset the computer, but now is back on. Is there a chance the fuel system is working out the kinks gradually? I don't want to end up causing more damage to the catalytic converter or something, but at the same time I cannot keep taking it to the shop and paying them to not find out the problem. This is very urgent and any advice would be much appreciated. Also, the manual specifically calls for 87 octane. Would it be beneficial to switch to 93 for a while? Thanks.

did it start as soon as you picked up because i know mine did this when i changed the plug wires and on the coil plack they are all in order except for 2 and i was unaware of this

To me, it also sounds like they crossed two of the wires.

It ran great for months after I had the plugs and wires changed.
