Engine options

been trying to do some research on the possible engine options outside of those that come in an explorer stock(sohc, ohv, and the 5.0)..I already have a chevy tranny in the thing so i was tryin to think of some other engines that could fit and wouldnt require to much modification..any idea's??i'd like to get an lt1 but i dont think that would fit?

A 351W swap is possible if you want to stick with Ford. If not you could try doing something like a small diesel engine out of a VW and make it run on vegetable oil (yeah i watched Xtreme 4x4 today ) Maybe a 4.3L V6 out of a Blazer or a 3.5L V8 out of a Lincoln LS. A small V10

lol..i watched that today also..thats what kinda started to get me thinkin..i want some more power..351..i will have to read into that some more..and yep, its Jefe's ole rig..

Yeah we'd need more power though to move our heavy rigs. I just wanta v8 swap.

Yeah I thought that VW swap was cool too. It sounded good when they had it out on the trails

its good..cept for the oil pump was bad, the tie rod was tack welded(broke on the trail), and the synchronizer crappin out due to the oil pump..also broke somethin in the powertrac..havent gotten around to ripping it out tho...might just put a arb in the rear too..
