i was just wondering if you can drop a 5.0 or a 4.6 into a '94 XLT. will it mount up with minor modifications or is it too much of a ***** to accomplish? the 4.0 is a good engine but i want some more umph. thanks for any info.
Well, it is alot of work...search in the conversion forum...there are afew who have done the swap()oknut), and who are in the middle of it(Gofast) and a few who are to start it shortly( me and dogman). The 4.6 won't ft due to it's height and width I believe. Yes, though it's a 4.6, the dimentions are bigger than a 5.0. Check though the last few months in the conversion forum, and you will find most info you need.
