Hello

After being parked outside for a week I got into my 2011 Explorer and it started up with no issue but the entire dash was dark, instrument cluster and sync screen. The climate control panel is unlit and other than the fan running there is not indication of life. I drove the vehicle briefly and the engine was sluggish and when I would take my foot off the gas the Explorer slowed considerably, not coasting like normal. The battery is relatively new and there was no problem with the start. I have shut it down and started a number of times hoping something was and the problem persists.

In the event it might be pertinent here is some background. The drain tubes for the sunroof have become clogged in the past and caused a short in my sunroof motors and the car was facing downhill for the last week and we have had a lot of rain. There seems to be a leak in either the roof rack mounts or the hatch jamb because the carpet and a blanket in the cargo area are wet. I have seen evidence of water entering the cabin from the slots where the rear shoulder belts exit the headiner.

Hoping for some insight and direction before I go blindly to a repair shop.

There is a thread on the water running down the third-row seatbelts. The usual cause was a leak where the roof rail attaches to the roof (body).
Also, check for cracks around the liftgate hinges and the top of the 'gate'.
Regarding the dash issue, have you checked for blown fuses? If there are none, I wonder if it could be a grounding problem.
