Can anyone tell me if an Equus code reader 3007 for Fords 1981 to 95 is any good? There's one for sale on Kijiji and I'm wordering if it'll be any good or should I be looking for a better one. I've never used one before and would like to get some feedback before buying one. Thanks

I do not know anything about the 3007, I have used a Sunpro CP9015 for those years and have A 3100a for all the newer years.

The 3007 is very old and outdated, probably only worth buying if it's extremely cheap, as in just a few dollars if that.

The 3145 is much newer, and can be had for $24.99 brand new online. It's a lot better for reading codes since it gives a digital readout instead of having to count flashes or bother with any of that.

You can also get other pre-3145 models online for slightly less.

I sprang for the 3145 and feel it was worth every penny. Hook it up, read a code, done. No guessing, no screwing around if you accidentally read the flashes wrong. Saving a few bucks wouldn't have been worth my time.

Thanks for responding scdix50 and Anime. Your insights are appreciated.
