Hello,

I am new here and have a question. My cd player in my 2000 Explorer won't play cds. Everytime I go to play a cd I get error message in my display. Is there any way to clear this error message out so I can play cds? Thank you.

never mind

I guess it doesn't matter - I asked and people have read this post and decided not to even reply. I will go to the dealer and deal with it. Obviously this site is for regular that come here. good bye!

It might have helped if you had posted the error

CD player

Are you talking about CDs that you have burned or ones you have bought? If they are ones that you have burned you may have the bit rate set too high. If my songs are not at 128 kbps for mp3 and 64 kbps for wma then my cd player won't play them. I have one of those VR3 decks from Wal-Mart that takes CDs, usb sticks, and sd cards. If the song is at the wrong bit rate then my deck will hang up and refuse to play it. Have you disonnected your negative battery cable to see if that will clear it out? Hope this helps.....
