I need someone over on the other side of the globe (Europe - but no UK) to check part numbers and availability of european headlights for the 1st and 2nd generation Explorer.... I need to buy complete units (including mounting bracket and bazel) for 1st generation X and headlights for 2nd generation X.....

If used ones are available it would be perfect. I'll be in Europe the end of July so I might stop by and pick them up........

let me know....

you dont suppose u could bring back some clear corners for us?

what about clear corners? I don't think this is typical european thing.... people just tend to call these things european for some strange reason...

I've seen it many times.... european this, european that where in fact it had nothing to do with Europe.... but if you tell me that I can get some of that stuff over there than I will....

guys... I need eurospec (e-coded) headlights for 1st and 2nd generation Explorer...

Black Market Clear Corners, that'll be a first:eek:

BTW: wats the difference?

yeah... that's what I want to know.... I don't think that such a thing even exists... I've been to Europe many times within the last year and have not seen even one car with clear taillights..... and we call them european....

bull,

BTW - - cops are worse over there.... and if you try to modify your car or truck they will get on your rear end right away.

i believe the ones in europe dont have the amber
the ones they sell for the 2nd gen here, are clear, but are of cheap quality and mine are yellow.
if someone could get the ford oem clear coners with no amber, it would be better looking than yellowed corners. although price may be a factor.

OK... are we talking about the first or second generation here?

I get some pictures and post here...

eurospec (e-coded)

i think only the dealers use part numbering here?!?
but if you stop by any ford dealer here - they should have it in stock. (or at least within days)

btw why do you want european ones? are they different?
my car is built in kentucky or something, maybe they have the part.

why do I want these? within the next few months I will need these for my 98 and 94... need... you know? and that's why I need someone on the other side to check for me availibility of these headlights and rear bumper lights... can you check with the dealer... I need to know how much it would cost me...

But why can't you just use stock ones. Wat is the difference between the 2?

the difference is that european ones are asimatrical.... american stock headlights are not allowed in europe... and that's why I need them.

Hey when you get over there let us know how much for clear corners for 2nd gen's. Most of ours are turning yellow due to the cheap build quality. I would actually like a set that will stay clear for more than 6 months.

OK... I'll see what I can do... if I get enough time for all my activities........

;)

What country in europe are you going to? There are a few and if you are going i Germany there is no use for a guy in Sweden to look for head lights;)
Do you want new or used?
I can tell you this the 1.st gen is rare i Sweden and the 2:nd isn't really all over the place and Ford Sweden sells the parts as they were made of gold....
But tell me, why change the bumper lights? I dont think there are any law against having only one fog light and where the reverse light is placed makes no difference.

I'll be in Germany, Slovakia, Poland....... and be there for two weeks for now... then I'm going back in the Spring of next year for good......

and I kind of suspected of how much parts cost there for these trucks as they were not as common...

I do have one fog light but as usuall (it's just me) - I like everything to have a factory look... instead of the cut and paste look... thanks but I think I'll be looking for someone in Germany... I would probably go to Sweden later on but for now I'm gonna stay around the southern parts of Germany and Poland...

I'm still confused as to what the difference is, what do you mean asimatrical?
