Evap leak, P0455 code, truck not running well.

Hi there, new to the site. I have an 03 Explorer, 4.0L V6. I had the check engine light come on over the summer, had it checked at auto zone and it came up code P0455 large leak in the evap system. The truck was running perfectly fine so I cleared the codes and the check engine light stayed off for a few months and the truck ran fine intill a few weeks ago. The light came back on and ran alittle rough when cold, once it warmed up it ran fine. In the past couple days it's been running really rough most of the time. Today me and a couple friends went searching under the hood to find the cause and no luck. After a while, the truck started running fine, drove around town and ran fine there, I took it up over 40 MPH and it started running rough and started acting like it wasn't getting enough gas(maybe running really lean?) and started to stall out at idle and doesn't start right back up. Also the check engine light will flash on and off. Once i got back home, i let it idle for a while and it started to smooth out and the check engine light stopped flashing and just stayed on. I'm trying to advoid spending $90 just to find out the problem from a shop. Any ideas or suggestions of what the problem could be or what we should look for? Thanks a ton!

You should get the code scanned again, see if there are others listed.

I did make it back up to auto zone to have the codes scanned again, that p0455 code never came back up but a couple mis-fire codes came up. I changed out the plugs and wires then cleared the codes. The plugs were completely shot. It's running much better now, however the engine does get a little sluggish from time to time at 40mph and at 70mph, but doesn't do it all the time. I'm gonna run it all this week, see what it does and see if the engine light comes back on. I also thru a bottle of fuel system cleaner in the tank.

First time to the sit, I have a 2005 Ranger 3.0 engine the check engine light came on, I check the codes an they are P0455, P2196, P2198, P0172 and P0175 could you help me with these codes thank you.
