I am experiencing excessive fuel consumption in my 2005 Explorer. Not quite sure why because it has had a complete tune up lately. Any ideas?

a vacuum leak would cause your engine to lean. btw, helping the car breathe will definetly improve your gas milage.

I have no signs of a vacuum leak. It does not idle rough and tach is normal. Don't know what it is and it is killing me.

What is your exact MPG right now? If you are using the computer for calculating the MPG try tracking it between fill up instead on paper. Sometimes the computers can get a little funky and not put out proper readings
