Can anyone explain to me why i would hear a hissing noise from my exhaust ONLY when it's in gear? When i rev it in neutral or park, i only get a rattle from my (bad) muffler, but when i'm in gear and accelerating, a really bad HISSING sound eminates from beneath - closer to the engine bay. I know that there may be other leaks in the system (near the Cats), but i don't understand why this particular sound is only when i'm in a forward or reverse gear. I need to know b/c i had the tranny rebuilt about one year ago and my warranty is due to expire any day now. Thanks!
