First off, what section of the exhaust has a leak??

Yeah, if you want low-buck and you're gonna sell it, just weld the leak shut. Cheapest solution that'll last another... 6months to a year?

can you weld to rusty pipes? I think the pipe rusted though.

yup yup, rusty pipe. Today rollin down the road, it disconnected from the muffler and its got no Muffler now.

Ok, well...looks like there's no other option but to redo the exhaust from the broken part back. Not too expensive really. I got mine done for CDN$240 cat-back. That's about US$160. And i got a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. Just tell them you want the cheapest damn muffler that they can get to fit. Better still...go find a cheap one from the junkyard off another Explorer and weld the whole thing on.

Yeah I'm thinkin about doin the junkyard thing. I don't mind the loudness, so i'll get it and like the week before I trade it in, put it on that way it can't bust on me too. I might just replace the pipe from the cat to the muffler and be done with it cause thats where it rusted off.
