Hey I just finished a 3" body lift on my x and I have a gap inbetween the hitch and the bumper. Im going to cut out a section of the exhaust(remove resonator) and put dual tips out where the gap is.

I just finished my exhaust... kinda...

Its not the way I want it to look, its offcentered and because i used flex pipe it sways back and forth. Right now i have it "pinned" by using a bolt so it doesnt sway back and forth but it needs to be fixed right.

Anyone have any ideas? I want this to look good and right now it just looks like a giant poop. I think i could get away with it if it was centered but just knowing its not right is driving me crazy. Any ideas will be considered. Please help me out!!! Here are a couple pics to help you see what I see and everyone else on the road will see tomorow morning.

I think i plate from top to bottom to sandwhich it would work but I just dont know where to get one that large...

Fixed

Got it fixed. Went to the home depot got a long piece of metal with pre drilled holes. Made a "u" bracket and bolted it up with the spare tire mounts. Really easy actually. Here are some pics.

you can barely see the exhaust but how does she sound

Hmm... I like the idea, but I think you need larger tips on there like the ones on this Jeep SRT8

Im just using the photo as a reference. I do agree with sam, I can barely see that exhaust.

Yea i would have liked it to be thicker but i only have 3 inches in height and around 12inches wide. That and i dont wanna rice it up with a big fat exhaust pipe that serves no purpose. Im thinking about adding two more just to fill up the gap. If anyone has any other tips that would look good or better send a link my way. I mean i only paid 10$ for both tips. so not that hard.

Sound wise.... a little confused actually. I thought removing a resonator should make it a little louder? Well assuming anyways. But its not louder. Maybe a lower tone.

I think adding some rectangular backup lights would fill the gap nicely.

hmmm. thats not a bad idea either. I would have to waterproof it though just incase i run through some water/mud etc... any ideas of waterproofing?

Clear RTV sealant. Used it on my headlights and corner lights. Never had a problem once and I've driven through mud plenty of times.
