Hello everyone; I live in Philadelphia and have been trying to find a Mechanic that could help me with my altering of my 91 EB 4X4. I want to start with a Cat back system with alot of grit to it. Can someone recommend a quality system, that can produce great power.

Everyone here seems to think that the Flowmaster 40 series or the Dynomax systems are the best value. They have left out Borla because of the price... Check out their websites.

If you have a set of socket wrenches at home you can install any cat back exhaust systems in about half an hour. The most difficult thing could be removing the old exhaust (easy with a hack saw or a sawzall).

Mine is a Gibson, aluminized system with lifetime warranty. Has been pleased with the performance and sound of it, reasonably priced also.

Is any welding requried when attaching a cat-back??

Welding is not necessary but I highly recommend it! If you don’t weld it, it could leak and/or come loose. But it is up to you.

Check the yellow book for a place that sell performance parts. I'm sure there is one in PA. If not order the muffler you like and bring it to a muffler shop. I'm sure they will be glad to install them for you. I paid $80.00 to install my flowmaster. Good luck.
