Well I phoned my mufller shop they will order me the flowmaster suv 50 series 2.25 in dual 2.25 out for 120.98 canadian. they did try and push the raven on me whatever, should I get them to remove my resonator or no?

That's a decent price. I scored the identical one from Mopac here in Calgary (they're out on the coast as well I understand), and paid the same price. Another shop in town wanted $25 more for the muffler and other muffler shops were telling me they'd charge me even more. I also scored a stainless tip from Mopac for only $35 CAD. A local shop wanted $80 for a chrome one (stainless is where it's at).

I took the Flowie to a local shop and got the muffler and tip installed in addition to new 2.5" aluminized piping from the cats back. $150 + GST. So all in it cost me $150 + $120 + $35 + GST = $325 approx ($270 USD for everyone out there). WAY cheaper than I was quoted around town at other shops (most ranged $450-$500 CAD + GST to do the work).

You'll like the muffler. I find it little droney in the cab (WAY less than Magnaflow), but I'm pleased.

I got the resonator taken off. I had a Magnaflow installed before the Flowmaster into the stock pipes WITH resonator and it was much more droney that the Flowmaster with bigger pipes (hence supposed to be louder) and no resonator.

i remember seeing this somewhere when i researched my exhaust. i can't find it but basically for a SINGLE-OUT setup:

4.0 ohv => 2.25"
4.0 sohc => 2.5"

I saw that too. It is on the Flowmaster website and they're recommending pipe diamaters based on HP. You've got the diameters correlated to the HP of the two engines.

I went for it, I figured at 120 bucks if my torque really does suck Ill grab a new muffler. I talked to Mopac they figure the SUV 50 series has enough flow restriction to keep my back pressure, however if I went with the 40 series I would have a problem.

Ill just try it, so tomorrow I have the suv 50 series single 2.25 in and dual 2.25 out

Ill et you know how it sounds, and even better how it performs.
