I have a 02 explorer 4x4 v-6 and i am having trouble with the truck. I will be driving it and while it shifts it feels and sounds like the 4x4 is trying to engage and it doesnt do it all the time. I can hear the actuator on the transfer case click and same with the control module in the glove box. All the 4x4 lights work when i push the buttons. Whe driving at all speeds it will act like its shifting into 4x4 and sometimes the 4x4 light will flash intermittingly then stop. I have no clue what this could be...any ideas before i go spend all my money at the ford dealer for them to tell me nothing is wrong?? I have had the transmission serviced and the filter and fluid changed and all that looked good. The truck has 124,000 miles on it. ANy ideas??
