I may just be working myself up over nothing but on the drive home from work tonight my explorer did a couple things its never done...Well its about 20 degrees outside right now, I was driving for about 15 min, the engine was at normal operating temp., then i look down and the needle is back down nearly to C, then slowly climbed back up to operating temp (heat was on the whole time). I thought that was odd. Then when i got home and the truck was idling in the driveway, the rpms were surging between 300-600rpm. When i hit the gas in neutral it wouldnt rev past 3k. Pedal to the floor it was at 3k (dont know if there is a limiter in neutral?) I then drove it around the block and it felt normal, and had no problem getting up to (nearly) redline. I may be getting worried over nothing, but i dont like when my explorer acts out of the ordinary!
