Explorer front clip on a Ranger

the differances are cosmetic though.....its the accent bends in the outer fender that are different

I know this is a sport truck thread, but for me, an offroad guy. I wonder if I could do the front end switch and since I am about to buy Perry's Glass fenders anyway...
I bet I could find a totalled Ranger at a junkyard.

I've thought of this myself.. doing like a ranger front end off of one of the newer ones.. I've stared at rangers in parking lots just pondering whether or not things would line up.. the owners probablly think I'm creepy staring at their trucks like that...

if I could find a front clip in the same junkyard as the X that has no front end.. I'd probablly just have them line it up and see if it fits.. if they'd do that for me.. probablly so if they thought I was gonna buy an entire front clip.

I wont be doing a mountaineer front to ranger conversion heh, but the rangers do have a lot better front end aftermarket parts.. esepcially lighting.

I would just like to have the high hood off of the Ranger EDGE. They are a small cowel hood. I look at them, test drove, and measured against my truck and they don't fit.
