Explorer loosing power>>>

i did this today to my accel cable and my down shift cable.. it perked up the take off alot but now shifts a lil weird. i only put two zip ties on each.. and it still just doesnt shift right at 5000 rpms.. i have to let off to get it to shift. starting at like 4700+ rpms it just looses an extreme amount of power and bogs down like crazy and wont push its self further to shift...

you also may have made the down shift cable too tight, if your engaging it then it wont allow you to shift until its released. you can adjust the cable either by taking off a tie or by going under the hood and finding where the cable runs thru the wall. next you can push down on the little D shaped part on top of it and when pull out some. go back to the gas petal and push down on it a few times, you should hear a little click or two. there is a more detailed thread about this somewhere with pics and more instructions...if your still having this problem then check it out.
