2016 Ford Explorer Limite
Hi all-
I wanted to replace my puddle lights to my 2016 Ford Explorer so I ordered the LED replacements. These LED lights are the wired unit with a hot and cold wire. I removed the passenger puddle light and replaced it with the new LED with no problem. Unreal brightness.

When I went to my driver side mirror to replace that side I noticed the puddle light was a bulb replacement and not the wired replacement like the passenger. Then I remembered that a few months back I had replaced the drivers mirror with a new one so apparently this side is bulb only.

Here’s my question to you guys: Can I re-wire the new LED puddle light with the two spade like prongs to the existing wire on the bulb connection? For now I replaced the bulb with an led bulb but it is not even close to the brightness of the passenger side.

Any help is appreciated!

I would think so. They are both 12 volt. If it fits properly it should be fine.

As Frank mentioned, I think you should be able to make the conversion. All it requires is a power source.

I went the lazy route and bought the Daytime Bright leds kit for puddles and interior. Kit came with license plate leds, puddle leds, interior leds throughout, but you had to mail them your Reardon lights for conversion with led cobs.
