Ok just got my explorer production date which is 10/94 Isnt that a really really late 94??maybe one of the last made? Anybody got one later than that? who has a really early 95 production?:exp:

Yes, that is a late production month, but I have seen several that were produced as late as October and were still the older body style. Two were actually titled as '95's.

Most manufactures switch over in June
ie. 7/99 is actually a 2000. I am not sure Ford follows suit but I believe they do.

Does your Explorer have a plastic plug in the driver side rear cargo area, above the jack compartment, by the side glass? (Where the rear power lock button is in newer Exporers)

Also, does it have dual cup holders in the center console that are not side by side, but one is higher?

Those two things are what I have noticed in late 94's. They are in there because the new 95's had those new features,so they got lazy,and used 95 trim pieces in late 94's up to the end of them.

well i don't know about the plug in the window area but i do know from my pics of the truck that it DOES have the cup holders in a line one higher than the other And it does have the 6 digit odometer What else is there in an explorer that late have from the 95?? Now im intrigued.....
