EXPLORER SPORT DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE

The Driver door has some up and down play in it, and therefore will not close, how do you align the door and take the play out???

With tools you don't have...

It will only take a good body shop 5 minutes to fix it; but you'll be back unless you control that pet orangutan that swings on your door 24/7.

You fell victim to the heavy doors of the sport. My sport's hindges have some slop too. The only real fix is to replace the hindges. I found a set from a late model 2 door at the salvge yard. I'm going to try to modify them so they'll be able to support the weight a little better. Anyway, There are 2 different styles of upper hindges. It's a big job to replace them.
