Explorer sport headlight problem

My Son has a 2001 ford explorer sport, the other day the headlights stopped working, lowbeams and highbeams. The only way the highbeams will work is if you pull on the turnsignal handle,but will not stay on in the regular high beam position, i,m told it could be the multifunction switch,is that where i would start? help,ScottA

Sounds like you are on the right track since there is voltage getting to the switch. It's just having problems getting from the switch back to the lights.
