I changed the front and rear brakes and rotors today and went to take the explorer for a test drive and now it won't start. Never had a problem starting it before. The battery is only a couple months old too. I'm charging the battery now though just incase. There's a clicking noise in the truck even if the door is closed and the keys aren't in the ignition. When I try to start it nothing happens. Did I trip something in the pats security system? I tried both sets of keys but still nothing.

Where is the clicking coming from? ....Maybe starter relay going bad...:dunno:

sounds like it is coming from under the dash

If you have an alarm or remote start system, you might have tripped the ignition cutoff or part of the system could be failing. If not, I would pull the battery cables and make sure it tests OK. Then, check your cables and connections. Let it sit for a few minutes the reset the ECM then reconnect and try to start. Hopefully someone else will give some better direction but the only time I've ever had this happen was because of a car alarm.

Thanks for your help. After letting the battery charge it did finally start and seems fine now. I don't know how my battery got low though, strange. Anyway thanks for taking time to reply.

maybe you left the door open?
