Exterior Styling Question

I know I have recently been posting posts like a wild man. I am very excited about my 2002 Sport Trac which I bought nearly a month ago with only 52,000miles and already I have big plans for it all which will come around Christmas.

My question here is what exactly are these things called (which are circled and pointed at in the picture)

well first, thats a regular explorer not a sport trac.

But to answer your question, I believe you circled the fenders.

Ok, I'm going to be honest. That is the funniest response I've ever read on this forum. Not only did I screen capture this whole thread, I'm attaching it to an email right now. I'm sure he was just posting a picture of a truck similar to the ST though.

I know its not a Sport Trac, I never said it was... I have the Sport Trac.. and I was thinking of getting those Fender Flares.

Anyone know where I can get Fender Flares that would match the grey bumpers I have on my Trac? (Its' Maroon w/ Grey bumpers/outlines (Stock))

I don't know if a regular Explorer's fender flares will work on a Sport Trac. But, Bushwacker makes some over bearing flares for the Sport Trac.

Thanks Johnstone, checked it out and they don't specify whether they do or do not, I'll probably call and ask. I found a picture of a Trac w/ Fender Flares however when you "choose your Explorer sub-model" it says it doesn't fit a Trac...werid.

Thought of another question, how much do you guys think it will cost to pain my bumpers black? They have very little minor damage, not even more than a minor scratch?

I saw a picture of a Maroon Trac and the guy painted his bumpers himself but I couldn't find him again =( .

I had my front bumper, rear bumper and rocker covers painted black on mine. A friend did it for me for a couple hundred including paint. It made it look alot better. One of the guys in the 02-05 explorer section used a herculiner type product on his grey trim. It looks pretty good, you can seach that section and see what you think. I had my side steps done with rhino lining.
