F150 manual t-case on a 4.0 2nd gen?

I know you can put a f150 t case on a 2nd gen that has a 5.0 engine and add f150 front drive shaft and expedition rear drive shaft....but...can you put a f150 tcase on the the 4.0 sohc?

I have a 99 4.0 4x4 eddie baur.

I have 4auto, 4h and 4l....for the record, is this considered 4x4 or awd?

...yes I'm a newb....joined earlier today!

Short answer, no.
But you can put a t-case from an older explorer/ranger on if you want to lose the 4auto.
And yes, yours is considered 4x4.
