ok here is the story..i got a 1998 explorer XLT 5.0 AWD.
i wana swap out the AWD T-case and put one in that has true 4X4 and that has low range. can a 4X4 T-case be taken out a second gen. explorer and droped in place of my AWD T-case with out changing any thing else (except wireing and nuts and bolts and little stuf like tat)
if i had to, would a 4X4 T-case out of a first gen. explorer fit and work in place of my second gen. AWD T-case.
