Hey, I was just doing a bit of browsing through some of the threads about Throttle Body Spacers, and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to make or sucessfully made their own. $100 seems like a lot of money for a maybe 4x4 inch block of metal with a hole in it. I would love to see if these TB Spacers actually show any MPG gains.

I've never seen any proof that throttle body spacers do ANYTHING but drain your wallet, at least in fuel injected applications.

Yea, on carb applications they are great because it it gives the gas and air more time to mix. On throttle body set ups like on the explorer is useless, because the fuel is not mixed until after the throttle body. Only injection set up that would benefit from a spacer would be THIS style injection.
