I have one in perfect working order that I recently took out of my 88 ( I went MP3 ).

Make me an offer.....

Ok, this happened to me once. I dis-connected everyting.......i took the entier cd changer out of my center consule. After this, i took apart the case, and i could see the stuck CD. What i did, was get a knive and put a little bit of thin cloth on it. I then ghetto rigged the cd changer, and pressed the eject button. I could see that the cd was trying to be pulled into the "read" motion...so i just stuck the knive in there and gently pushed it foraward until it caught.

Problem solved :D

Al, I too have a 96 xlt w/ 6 disk changer that fell apart. I removed it from the console and all sorts of parts fell out. You state yours is an '88, can you send a picture (I would be concerned about the connector and the physical dimensions of the unit).
Thanks

Sorry, a typo, mine is a 99, I have no pic, I do not know if it is compatable. Sorry,

Hey, im looking to sell my 96 Eddie Bauer 6 cd changer unit....

Also...i will get pics up of my cd changer. I needed to take it out of my car today becasue my factory head unit crapped out on me, and my CD's were stuck in it.

Therefore i have a few pictures of how to get your CD's out Big - just gimme a day or so (fototime is being gay)

Ok, got the pics up.

Bear with me....to have the pictures VERY LARGE click on the links below the pictures.

This is a shot of the factory CD changer all apart. All i did was take the screws out, and pull the black metal pieces apart.

This is a picture of the CD assembly. I took apart part of the actual cd changer (which houses the 6 cd cartrige....took off about 4 more screws...not bad)

With this off, you can lift out the 6 cd cartrige, and get to the stuck cd (just pull lightly on the cd and it should dis-attach and come out)

This last picture shows a closer view...the right side is where the CD cartrige is housed...the little metal cirle looking thing on the left is what kinda holds the cd.

Hope this helps bro...
