can someone please help me out. I searched and all I got were results on how to wire one in pre 02

They sell a harness that hooks up the stock subwoofer harness. You will need an y adapter to bring your two rca outs on the hu to the one one the harness. It also has a wire you hook up amp on. It also needs a ground. My alpine harness has an amp ground so I went with that.

You will also need to install a resistor in the amp on power. I beleive a 2.3k ohm is what I used. The factory amp has a different turn on voltage then what after market amps use. If you don't use a resistor there is a large pop sound ever time you turn on and off your HU.

thanks for the reply where do I buy this harness to hook it up? Do I have to buy online? What is a resistor? Thanks

Look around for the harness online. I can't remember who makes it. For the resistor I just went with one from radio shack.

The other thing you could use over a resistor is a voltage regulator. But thats make a lot of heat and you need to mount it to metal to sink away that heat.

for the resistor, ask the guy behind the counter at Radio Shack
