Faulty Alternator. Can it cause shift problems

The transmission on my 03 shifts hard sometimes and the OD light is flashing. Also, even though the car starts every time with no indication of a bad battery the battery light indicator is on and after checking the alternator is not putting out the recommended amps. Could this affect the transmission? Also, could it cause problems with the blending door actuator of my ac/heat unit?

Could affect alot of things. Best get the battery/alternator fixed first before worrying about the other stuff because that may all go away once you get the battery/alternator fixed
