If your explorer OD light is flashing and is shifting hard into gears go ahead and buy a transmission solenoid and adjust the gear shift selector on the side of the transmission and you might as well get a new filter and gasket while your in there my 2003 ford explorer XLT would shift hard from 3rd into 4th it had me thinking I needed a new transmission this fixed the issue and I'm loving my 03 explorer not a single pestering fault light on my dash hope this helps
