I got this cd player with the truck about a month ago. When I turn it on I get a bad feed back, like a constant noise, when I turn the music up the feed back does not get any louder. But when I turn my AC on it gets worse but if I turn my lights on it dies down some (The feed back not the music)
I get a winding sound when I give it gas that starts of at a low pitch than the more I step on it the higher the pitch gets. NOW
this is a 94 XLT with a Pioneer DEH-P4000
45W x 4.

Is this a wiring problem or is this deck fried?

This could be one of may things. This problem is commonly referred to as a grond loop. Check your grounds to the deck, maybe try moving the ground somewhere else. Good luck.

where are the grounds usally found? Were do they run to ground to?

To check your ground, you need to take the head-unit out and see where the black wire goes. The ground connects to the body of the truck. The wire should contact the bare metal of the body. (not a painted part). You may have to scrape away some paint where the wire contacts the body. Also, check out this link on how to get rid of noise
how to supress noise
