I have a 96 sport and after my last muddin trip i removed the black trim from the bottom of the X all the way around. The reason for doing this was bc the trim in the fender wells always fills with mud and i can never get all of it out so i just removed it.

My ??? is the section behind the rear tire and rear fender is it the same length/distance on a 2-dr and 4-dr. BC i want to replace this piece with a piece from a 4-dr so it doesnt wrap around the rear fender wells.

Does anyone know how much this piece would cost? Well 2-one for each side.

Thanks

no
the rear flare is different from a 2-door to a 4-door.

so i will just have to cut mine to fit like i want.
thanks for the help

on my explorer we are going to cut a piece of sheet metal to fit that dog leg form it to the contour, paint it to match and jus rivet that thing on there. it'll look soo much better than nothing. and i don't have to buy anything. well except a lil paint.

can u post some pics of it

ya i'll see about getting pics tomorrow. jus keep bugging if i don't cuz i can't remember things for $h!t, so jus remind me. and instead of painting it to match i went a cheaper route and coated it in bedliner. doesn't look exactly right cuz i haven't put liner on my rockers. but it does look a hell of alot better than nothing at all and only cost me $7.50 for a can of bedliner stuff. and there is plenty left to do my rockers.

aiight thanks man
Bedliner would be a good idea. might try that to

i got pics up at my cardomain page. i might do the bedliner around the edges but for right now i'm satisfied the way it is. its basically jus a plate riveted at the bottom with double sided sticky tape and mp1 around the rest of it. take a look

Hiridin
Looks good man. I like it and bad a$$ X man!!!
The front bumper has to be custom, did u do it yourself?

thanks i'm quite pleased with it myself. and ya the the front bumper is custom... i wish i could say i made it myself but props go to my dad i merely assisted. after the bumper was built we cut the frame horns off and slid it straight into the frame and mounted it with 3 bolts on each side. nothing hangs below the frame itself. gives a lil better approach angle.
