ok, when fiberglassing, how do you get the final product the same texture as the X's texture. like the kickpanel texture. the only way i could think of is to put a thin coat ovver the final and wait till its takcy and take some vinyl and roll it on... ??? thanks

You can buy wrinkling paints. I don't think you can press anything onto semi dry resin with good results.

Only thing I know that's fine enough is ground up shark teeth. Painters use this alot of times on wood 2x4 outdoor patio steps and the like to give traction to shoes / rubber. But I think the fiberglass resin would smooth it over.... hmm.... good question.

with fiberglass its either a smooth sanded resin finish, gelcoat, or bondo.
All 3 = smooth.

You want texture it will have to be custom

you can fiberglass it, prime it, then use some textured spray paint. dont know how close it will be, but it will have a little texture.

well you know when the glass gets tacky and you touch it and it leaves your finger print. i was thinking that what if you do that but just like roll and peel some vinyl that looks the same?
