I am about to go on a very long road trip in my explorer. I was wondering what tools to bring with me just in case. I was also wondering if I should leave behind all of my metric stuff and just bring standard. But I seem to remember that there are some metric bolts on this thing. Is there?

yeah you better bring them metric tools with you since the first gen's are mixture of metric/SAE nuts and bolts :D

...and having a AAA membership is a plus...:D

...let me expand on this a bit...i just learned if you have the plus or platinum package and you break down over 100 miles from home and your trip is interrupted, they will pay up to 750-plus pkg., 1500-platinum package, re-imbursement for room, food, etc. if you claim it within 96 hours of the incedent...now thats a very important tool...;)

AAA/CAA is always a plus, but if you are bringing tools, always bring what you can due to space limitations.

As murphy's law goes, the tool you don't bring will be the one you need.

Bring those metrics.

I've done my own maintenance on my 91 X since for the last 17 years. I can't remember many jobs I've done where I didn't need a mix and match of standard and metrics. Be safe. Get a tool kit with both!

...i found this at wally world for about 60 bucks...:D
