ok.. wrote the whole big thing out.. but delete it for this :

you want to rockclimb, mud, street queen it?

Do it

No matter what you do, I think it'll all look good. Some of the body lifts come with spacers or ways to fix the gaps. It shouldn't be too bad though. Good luck with that...I can't wait to do that to mine.

33's with 4" of lift? Good luck! Get your cut out tools!

hell 33s should fit with 4". we have 31s with no lift, front doesnt rub at all & the back rub just a lil bit under full articulation.

Now im not sure if this will work so if it wont someone can correct me....

what Ive thought about doing with ours is get the 4" suspension lift just for the front, get 6" leafs (about $200) on the back & do a TT up front to match & if needed a BL so we can fit 35's.

31s are suppose to fit stock. Now, if he has a sport, then he may be able to fit them -- but if he has a 4dr he isn't going to fit them easily. You don't see anyone with 4" lift and 33's unless they've trimmed or have a sport. Superlift and Trailmaster specify a 32 with their 4" lift because they know most 32 inch tall tires will fit. I have 33's (bigger 33's than most) and mine still rub a little with 7" of lift. Now, granted, you can fit 33's fine with 4" of lift, but you will not want to turn to risk ripping your bumper off and cutting your tires. Basically what I'm saying: 33's will not fit with 4" of lift -- and that's from expierence!!

EDIT: Explorers front fender design isn't that great. They did however make the front fenders bigger/wider for the sports...which in turn give sports more clearance for tires!

Yea I didnt think about the xlt & sport diff. I know 33's will clear fine on a sport like this one.

Guess I should have mentioned that either way we go there will be some fender trimming & the front & rear bumpers are gona be yanked for some aftermarket ones (bumper laws are about non-exsistant in AZ). ;)

Hey Drew, do you know if we will still be able to do a TT with a 4" sus. on the front?

i have 33's but i had to trim to second exploerdmb

Have any pics of your X zhanx? Id like to see exactly where youve trimed & what it looks like now.

If you do but no where to post them let me know, I can hook ya up with a online photo gallery.
