Finally removed the side steps

finally removed the side steps to the truck, and i swear i think it makes it a little faster, and know i really doesn't but maybe since it has more of a fast truck look it wants to go faster, anyway heres a pic and btw im new here from baltimore love my st.

nice! i just took mine off last month and it does give it a more aggressive look, but my gf who is 5' tall wants me to throw them back on, so i painted them with a black bedliner. i posted a thread on them if you want to see what they look like in black.
 






my wife complains also but I just give her a boost and she soon forgets. i bent the hell out of my brackets anyways so they were just a hinderance for ground clearance
 






I took mine off way back, like the way it looks especially lowered. Now my wife drives it a lot and, like LONO's gf, she's 5' tall and has broken the plastic on the side of the seat sliding in and out. Looks like I'll be putting them back on.:(
 






Also took out my side steps... To paint them black. But nice, Explorers do look more aggressive without them steps.
 






Looks good. i was going to take them off of mine too but with my body lift my woman would get mad cause she couldnt get in and out lol
