They do look smaller but I think it's the big side knobbies on the old ones that make it look that way. The claws look awesome. What offset are those rims? Are they15x10?
 






i got a set of baja claws, and are very happy with them. very nice looking truck btw.

Thanks guys, this does drive like a caddy and doesn't seem to have much roll now.. Im happy with them. Im really not sure on the off set but they are 15x10's
 












I also want to know what you guys think about some fender flares. Im wanting the ones that look like there bolted on but not sure if they make them for mine..

No, no one does make them for the Explorer. The only flares you can get are the ones from a sport of Eddie Baurer ( I believe).

Bushwacker makes some flares for the 2nd gen, but not the cutout style like posted above.
 






i dont like either of those tires, but your truck looks better with the claws than it did with the thornturds
