I finaly got some berfore and after shots scanned in for me. The qualuity of the scan is not great, but I think you can get the idea of what I have done to my truck. I got all of the parts together and then made all of the modifications in 1 day. It looked like a different truck when it came down off the lift. I am loving the way it looks and rides. Here is a brief list of the mods that I made to my stock 95 XLT;

20% Tint on the front windows
Torsion Twist on the front and Warrior Shackles on the rear
31x10.50.15 BFG AT KO's
Bug Guard on the hood
Custom Dual Exhaust with a "Raven" Splitter (sounds better than I ever anticipated)
KandN Filter Charger Kit
MDS Plugs and Wires

Check out the link to see the pics, and tell me what you think. Hope you enjoy.....I know I am!

Nice Nice Nice. It looks great with the lift and the KO's. Hey, have you noticed much of a change in ride quality with the torsion twist. I would LOVE to do mine, but the wifey would freak if I changed the Explorer and the ride suffered. So how does it ride?

TexAtl,

So funny that you ask that! I was very concerned that my wife was going to be unable to climb in, and the ride would be bumby, and the truck would become too loud. I thought she was going to freak out, and say..."what have you done"? Turns out it took her two weeks to notice that I had done anything other than a new set of tires. I was very pleasnatly suprised at how the truck rides. In fact, I believe it rides even better with less of a spongy feel. No shakes or shimmys at all. Its only loud from the inside when I jump on the throtle. Thats when she asked me if my muffler had fallen off! It has a perfect rumble from outside the truck, and runs like a champ! I reccomend the TT and shackle lift. Easy mods, and cheap!

Looks good, I hate how they have that factory tint in the back that you can't match.....

tint

They told me that If I try to tint over the stock mirror looking tint that it may make the mirror effect even stronger....thus making it match the new tint even less? Oh well.....I can think of worse problems to have in life...........Later,

Looks great. I like the duals, what kind of set up is that? How big are the pipes coming out? Did you lose any torque because of the backpressure?

exhaust

Sethro,

The pipes from the "Raven" splitter back are 2". We kept them a bit smaller in order to maintain the backpressure. I did not notice a decrease in torque at all. In fact, I only noticed an increase in torque and power because I did the intake, outake, plugs and wires all at the same time. What a difference!

Do you think you could have gotten 32 x 11.5s under there? I'm getting the lift in a couple of weeks but I have to wait a month or so for the tires.
I'm trying to decide between the 31s or 32s.

31's or 32's

Offroadkc,
Every time I look at the truck, I wonder if I could have gotten 32's under there. I do wish that I had gone for the 32's to give that slightly beefier look. I went with the 31's after researching the heck out of this site. I saw some posts that claim that they had to do some fender trimming to fit the 32's. I still think that I may have been able to clear the 32's and I wish I had gone for it. With the shackles and the TT....you should be fine. My next set of tires will most definately be 32's.
Later,

Matching Tint

you can match the tint first you have to put mirror on the front and then another layer of just 20 over it and then put 20 on all the rear.
