I modified an OEM 91-94 enclosure to fit an 8" sub.

Since it was late night, and I did not have "correct" tools, I just winged it with what I had on hand. I used a corded power drill, numerous smaller drill bits, Vice Grips, hammer, pliers...
First, I figured out how much larger I needed the enclosure opening, and marked it. Then began drilling holes along that line, as close as possible. After drilling around a few inches or so, I would break off the piece with the Vice Grips, pliers, and hammer. Drill more, break more off. I broke ALOT of smaller drill bits, since I would kinda work the drill from side to side after drilling hole through.
To smooth/even out the opening, I used curved hand files, sandpaper, and some rotary rasps in a corded power hand drill.

Note that the OEM enclosure I had has a fairly flat face. Some other OEM ones are not as flat, so getting a good seal might be an issue.
