Hey, I'm new to the forum and new to driving. Turned 17 in Janurary however I'm not new to cars. My uncle owns a Ford Dealership here in Jersey. I've recently come into a little bit of money and I wanted to spend it on my 2000 EB Explorer. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

would ur uncle happened to have a 99-01 black or blue limited on his lot? ive been looking for one with a decent price. think he can work our some magic numbers for me? ;)

Hmmm...I'd have to check if we had one on the lot. I know we have a few lease returns in of that style...so maybe. As for the magic numbers....we cant seem to make money on any cars these days. *real deep announcer voice*At Verner Cadbey Ford, are prices are the best there is!*end voice* So look us up!.

Well..after posting my reply, I was interested myself in what we had used on the lot and: here you go!

Tyler, take a look in the fetured explorers and there is a new model eddie bauer that the guy calls herc. It looks cool as hell and he has pics of it doing some tough stuff.

I'm not a big stereo man, the one in the truck suits me fine. I don't wanna lower it because I like to do a little off-roading. My friend suggested hood scoops but I can't see the purpose to them. Any suggestions would be great!

well for off roaders might wanna get an exhaust system or big tires maybe even a lift too many things to do to x's not nearly enough money

well first if you wanna go off-roadin, get skidded up if you already arent, your Uncle can help if your not. then do a search for TT/Shackle lift VERY cheap 2" lift. then get some 31-32" BFG's (or whatever) i assume you have 255/70/16 tires. so if you do 2" of lift you should be able to run 32's.

Ah just get a KKM, Chip, and Borla Exhaust. It will run ya about $600, but it should have some nice added power

as far as the hood scoops go it isn't a bad idea al together. intake and exhaust will help with power and a really phat idea, if you know a real good fabricator and mechanic, is to actually make the hood scoops functional. i have a buddy up here that did it to a 85 k5 bronc, but it was a lot of money and time. it takes some creative thinking too to tie in the intake with the scoops.
