First time Explorer owner, long time fan

Man message boards/forums have come a long way since the 2000s lol. Greetings everyone! Happy owner of a 2025 Active and my first Explorer as of 08 August. Ever since summer of 1993 when I first saw those Explorers roll down in front of the Vistor Center in Jurassic Park, I've loved the Explorer.

Any advice from the group for a new Explorer owner? Any modification suggestions? Glad to be here!

The best advice I can give you is to get an extended warranty and diligently do maintenance. No matter what Ford recommends, change the oil every 5k miles using synthetic oil and the transmission fluid every 60k miles. Especially if you plan to keep it and drive it once it is out of warranty. Otherwise, enjoy your ride and welcome to EF!
