Well this is my first post on this site. I currently just traded in a 2003 civic for a 1998 Eddie Explorer 5.0 v8 AWD. So far, i LOVE this truck. First time owning a SUV. hah, the only thing thats a drastic change is my gas mileage, but i knew that was coming. Anyways, this truck has been sitting around for about a year and a half. I picked it up a week ago, and i am trying to work out all the little problems im having, which the dealer is fixing for free with no problem. I have two main problems left to get fixed. Im not familiar with air ride suspension at all. My pump seems to run a lot (dont know if its normal though?), it will go on then off for about 20 seconds, then switch back on again (with my keys in the ignition on ACC) and repeat. But when i get out of the car and lock it, it will run then turn off, maybe run one more time, then not come back on again. It rides REALLY rough, i can feel every bump in the road. But again, being a first time SUV owner, should i expect this to ride alot rougher than a little civic? The second problem is a clunking noise that seems to be coming from under the passengers feet. The day i got the car i picked up a friend and he said it felt like something was hitting the bottom of the car under his feet, or something rattling around down there. Aside from those two problems, i also have the dreaded blend door problem, which i dont really mind because my AC works fine, and my heat, so if i have one or the other ill live with it. Any ideas about the clunking noise? I did a search, but didnt find exactly what i was looking for. Thanks guys

For the clunking, check the exhaust system.
