dont forget, assuming you have autotrans, the shifting is electronically controlled and also from the GEM and is impacted by signals from VSS , trans shift position sensor, front/rear driveshaft speed sensors. Hall sensors coul be bad and cause iregular engagemtn issues (gear hunting) but i agree that for them to go bad right after a gearing change is alot to ask. Also the hall sensors on the TC are suposedly only telling the GEM about rotational differential between front /rear driveshafts--- absolute rear axel speed should not be involved - regearing just makes the axls go faster/slower. Unles there is a speed refernce from the ABS system speed snsors that influnec the shift control by the GEm i dont see how regearing would havean impact. However if the abs sensors also tell teh computer vehicle sped and the GEM uses this incomnjuncton with info from the TC hallsensors it might well need an offset reprograammed
