anyone install one of those whelen flatlighter visor lights? I have one for use when on calls, and it has been great for about a year. But recently, it has been shorting out. I suspect that its because I ran speaker wire into the visor and through the tube that the power wire for the mirror uses, and maybe being flexed too many times ate away at the insulation. How did anyone else mount theirs? My install looked great, but that doesnt matter if I get side-swiped by someone in an intersection because they didnt see me coming cuz my strobe shorted out. :banghead: I want to keep the wires as out of sight as possible but keep it reliable. any suggestions?

I think your right about the wire. Seems elect. wire has more insulation than speaker wire. You could probably use a pretty small guage wire for the strobe 18ga. or so.
Cant help w/the install but I bet the new wire, as you mentioned , will fix them.
