I'm so confused (suprise!) and I need the guideance of you people to help me out here.

I'm having problems deciding on getting a Flowmaster 40 with Delta Flow (single in, duel out so I can have duel exhaust) or getting the cat-back system.

I want whatever would give me more power. I sure would hate to find out that I didn't get the one with the most power.

Anyone have any ideas or opinions?

IMHO

id say they are probably very close to each other.....but the 40 delta would be probably about the same soundwise as the 3 chamber 50 that the force II system comes with......i think you may actually get more power with the catback force II than the muffler swap deal as flowmaster actully designed this with testing to get the most out of our trucks

I have the Delta 40 and I'm not very impressed with it. Performance is the same as the 40 but the sound is not impressive. I recommend getting just the 40 not the delta.

Also, I may be wrong but, I read on other threads that getting duels messes with back pressure which affects low end torque. In a bad way not good.

hey phil, true duals would but i think we are talking about stock to the muffler than duals out the muffler...this shouldnt cause too much of a problem

Hey man.. have you removed your catalytic converters, if so, it STILL sounds unimpressive?! What is it sounding like?

i recently got a 40 installed on mine, i noticed an increase in power but not gas mileage. i do have the exaust where two go in and one comes out the, performance shop i went to simply took the 40 blew out a new hole and welded on a new inlet. the increase in power and great sound i feel is well worth it. hope this helps you with your decision.

No I haven't removed my cat yet. I didn't know that it could make a difference in sound. I am thinking about a high flow cat, cause I need one for smog if I'm not mistaken.

It sounds a little better but I want mine to sound like a mean V8, maybe I want too much out of a V6. At idle its not that much louder than stock but its okay when gasing it. I really hate to say it but It kind of reminds me of a rice rocket. Its deeper than one but still not a mean V8

And about the duals, I did't know that one in two out wouldn't hurt or else I would have gone with that. I like the dual out look. That sucks. oh well.
